Sunday School Times: Every Sunday, 9:30am
We are grateful for the children and youth of our congregation! Each Sunday children (Preschool and above) gather for worship with the entire congregation. After the opening elements of our worship they are invited to the front of the church for the Children's message. Afterward they are dismissed to their Sunday School classes. Sunday school concludes after each worship service.
Children's Ministries (Birth - 5th Grade)
Nursery (Birth through 3 years old)
Open from 9:15am. until worship is over. Child Care is free. Our nursery is a clean and safe environment where children are cared for as God's precious gifts. Our nursery is supervised by a staff person who is assisted by volunteers.
Pre-School (3 years through Pre-K)
All preschool aged children attend the worship service with their parents until the end of the children's message. They will then be dismissed to Sunday School, at which point a parent may sign their child into the preschool room. The children will enjoy play time, a Bible story, music, and other activities, as well as a light snack. The preschool program is led by a staff member and parent volunteers who are excited to teach children about God's love for them.
NURSERY AND PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION FORMS
Kindergarten through 5th grade - Emmaus Road Sunday School Based upon Jesus post-resurrection walk with his disciples in Luke 24, the Emmaus Road Sunday School is a rotational model program. The purpose is to:
- Interpret the scriptures so that the children's hearts will "burn within them"
- Open the children's eyes to the risen Christ
- Enable each learner to answer Christ's question, "Who do you say that I am?"
Children are placed in one of three groups according to age. They are led by a "Shepherd" and "rotate" to a new "station" each week where they will learn a new activity based on a Biblical story. The same story is told for 4 weeks in 4 different ways so that the children may understand the entire scope of each passage. This program is staffed by our Children's Director and a group of volunteers.
