SIGN UP – 2009 AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE

The Yorba Linda Presbyterian Pedestrians will have two teams participating for the 5th year in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life at Yorba Linda Middle School on Casa Loma Avenue in Yorba Linda.

The event will take place from 3:00 PM Friday, August 7 – 3:00 PM Saturday, August 8. This is our opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those who have lost their battle and fight back while raising funds for the fight against cancer. Sign-ups will begin June 21.

Ways to participate:

1. Sign up to join the fun, walk for 1 hour – all we ask is you try to raise $100 (or more, if possible) for cancer research.
2. Sign up as a “Survivor” (if you have had cancer or are currently under treatment) – walk in the “Survivor Lap” at 6:00 p.m. Friday, receive free purple survivor tee shirt and free dinner.
3. Donate a luminaria (candle to be lit for the luminaria lap at 9:00 p.m. Friday) in honor of someone who is currently battling cancer or in memory of someone who has lost their battle.  $10 suggested donation.
4. Participate in a Cancer Prevention Study (new this year) – no cost involved.
